The Ferryman

There are very few Scions of Charon. Not one for dalliances with the living, he only had two children, both of whom intermarried with Olympic Lineages, and few are called now to his service.

As the Ferryman of the Dead, Scions of Charon are able to take on a Spectral Form. It makes them invisible to most people, unless they can see into the Spectral Realm. They are also capable of traveling to that realm at will, but rarely do so.

Ferryman can interact with ghosts and spirits, And can even feel when one of the restless dead is in a building or place. All the better to aid in their calling to help souls cross over.

Ferryman do not have to go into the Spectral form to be able to see or hear into that realm, only to physically interact with it. It's also a useful tool for running away or escaping, as it makes the Ferryman intangible and invisible.

Ferryman can cast out spirits who are possessing objects or people, similar to the catholic exorcism ritual. They can bind spirits, but generally refuse to. Not only because it goes against the beliefs of Charon, who transports the dead, but because it requires so much energy that it has been known to kill the Ferryman.

Ferryman generally live a normal, human lifespan. A few in history have been known to live a few decades longer, but none more than 150 years old.
